If you are not able to send visitors to your link you won’t make any sales therefore, you won’t make any money. Fortunately, it’s not so difficult to build up traffic that converts into sales. Every day people are spending billions of dollars online, and you only need a tiny sliver of that to make decent money. The key to your success will always be generating targeted traffic to your affiliate link, and that will be your only task since everything else will be handle by the product owner, delivery of the product, customer service, refunds, etc.

How to generate traffic that turns into sales?
 

The main sources of traffic are search engines, social networking sites, and email marketing. You can also buy traffic through various sources, but one of the most common ways for affiliate marketers to begin making money is by getting organic search engine traffic to their blogs. Bloggers create content that ranks high in Google, and that’s how they get visitors and send them to their affiliate offers. Social media works great as well, and millions of people log into their accounts every day.

You also can create a video, recommending a product and post it on YouTube. You can make a pretty penny creating quality videos that people find useful. But in my opinion, email marketing is the most profitable way to make money with affiliate marketing, however, it requires you to build your list, by driving traffic to a page where you collect emails of people interested in what you are offering, instead of sending the traffic directly to the product offer.

It takes a little time to get a big and responsive list but once you get it, you can send multiple offers to your list and, as long as you treat your subscribers right and provide value, you will succeed as an affiliate marketer, no doubt about it.
