To attract the perfect customer to your website, you have to imagine your perfect avatar, male and female. You have to give your avatar a name like Steve or Mary, and give them an exact profile that you can identify perfectly.
One way to do this is to go on Google and search for your perfect avatar. I know it sounds weird, but trust me on this, it works. Type in the name Steve with images of different people named Steve. Then, research their personal profile, so you can relate perfectly to the avatar you have imagined.
Once you have found your perfect avatar, print their picture and pin them on a wall close to your office desk. You also have to look for where they congregate online. In other words, where they hang out. You can search for Facebook groups or forums where they can participate in. You can also look for websites where they like to go, the kind of radio stations they listen to, where they spend their money, everything that you can find on their behaviour.
If you’re an affiliate marketer like I am, you’ll research their age, where they live, and what their hobbies are. You’ll also find out if they hold a job, or if they’re working for themselves. We often overlook these kinds of characteristics, but you have to narrow it down to the perfect avatar possible.
Once you have finished researching your ideal avatar, then you want to attract them into your sales funnel. A good practice is to offer them something for free. Everyone likes free things. It can be a PDF report, a free webinar, a free book, even a free gift depending on the type of product you’re selling. Oftentimes, just a sample of your product will convey their attention to you. They will be an enthusiast to the idea of what you give them, so much that they will be emotionally tempted to buy from you.
If you can offer some value to them from the start, they will appreciate your product or service so much that they will be engaged to keep on doing business with you for a long time.
Be the best affiliate
You have to be the one who gives the best value for your product or service in the eyes of your customer. Before you try to pitch them on your product, you’ve got to find out what they need, the pain they have, and what you can bring to the table as a way of relieving this pain. Start showing them the benefits of doing business with you. It’s important to realize just how much you, as a marketer can influence their decision to buy or not from you.
People buy from marketers they know, like and trust. It’s obvious. If you’re trying to make a quick buck, it shows on your ad copy and the way you present your product. I used to think that customers were just like numbers, but my mindset has changed a lot since then. People need honesty and dedication more now than ever.
You have to install a value ladder. This works by, as I said, offering something for free, then gradually give them more value for a higher-priced product. Just like offering a membership program, or marketing software that will help them accomplish their business in a better or faster way. Depending on the affiliate program you’re in, you can offer an item between $50 and $100. You could also sell a product with a recurring plan, so you have income coming in month after month.
If the type of business you’re in requires selling high ticket offers, then you’re all set for your marketing purposes. The sooner you can find where your ideal avatar is congregating, the more income you can potentially make and the happier you will get.
P.S. If you’re not currently a part of an affiliate program, I strongly recommend John Thornhill’s Ambassador Program. John will take you step-by-step through the system, and show you how to make a great income with it. I’m a student of his, and I guarantee your total satisfaction. I’ve just been one month in this program, and I’m already seeing the results.
