Dwarves, Droids and Dreamers Welcome

Dwarves, Droids and Dreamers Welcome

The Affiliate Marketing Journey is a bit like the epic adventures that make blockbuster movies or Booker prize-winning novels, except that in Affiliate Marketing, you are the main character in your adventure!

Your story starts in a comfortable, familiar world, where everything is mundane and safe.

You are like Bilbo Baggins pottering around’ Bag End’ or Luke Skywalker, farming in some quiet backwater, ….in a distant galaxy ….far, far away.

There you are, working 9 to 5, just getting by when, suddenly, it’s all turned upside down.

For you, it may not be a bunch of Dwarfs that want you to be their burglar or a droid with a holographic message for a mysterious old hermit.

It might be that you realize that you are getting older and that if you want to retire to the life you deserve, you need to take action now.

Or you decide, enough is enough, you don’t want to be a wage slave any longer, you want to be your own boss.

Or maybe, like me, you suddenly find yourself without a job or an income.

Whatever it is, you are thrust, into an adventure that will take you out of your comfort zone and into the unknown.

The journey has started; the adventure has begun.

In the best adventures, there are many trials, perils, and pitfall that beset the hero, to triumph, the hero has to rely on the help and encouragement of his companions.

The need for trusty companions holds true for the Affiliate Marketing adventure as well.

As I develop my business, my traveling companions are a bunch of like-minded people who have all signed up for the same coaching and training program. Many of us are at the same level, but some are more, or less experienced. The one thing we have in common is a desire to help each other every step of the way. As I face hurdles and setbacks, they are there to encourage me. When I get lost or bogged down, they show me the way out of the mire and help me get back on track. And when I have a win, no matter how small, they are the ones that cheer loudest!

Chief amongst the companions is a trusted guide or mentor, Bilbo had Gandalf, and Luke had Obi-Wan Kenobi. The guides have trod the road the adventurer is now on and point out the false trails, and reveal the hidden secrets. I have been fortunate to have a couple go fantastic guides to help me along the way, one of who is John Thornhill, and I am grateful to him for this opportunity to write this guest post,

Even with companions and guides, any good adventure story’s hero will get into dark and dangerous situations. However, it is often in these darkest moments that they find the most valuable items. Bilbo’s ring is discovered in the dark, cold depths of the mountain. Luke faced one, desperate, last chance to save the planet from the Death Star, and that is when he found the power of the force.

Sometimes, as we struggle with challenging tasks, we discover the most valuable lessons:
Maybe it is getting over that fear of appearing on video and experiencing the incredible power of connecting with people through a live broadcast.

Or possibly it is overcoming an auto responder’s technical challenges that have been eating up countless hours trying to resolve, to finally experience the power of automation.

Finally, there is the fulfillment of the quest and the chance to rest at the end of the journey.

Our hero set out, encouraged by their companions, guided by a master, fought through trials and tribulations, and eventually obtained so much more than they could have imagined.

If you are looking to become a hero in your own Affiliate Marketing Adventure Story, the key is wisely choosing your path and your companions. If you have not yet signed up with John, then do check out what he has to offer.

So finally, how is your adventure going? Where are you on your journey? I would love to know. If you would like to follow along with me on my adventure, I am blogging about it and posting helpful tips and insights on my blog.
